a shame that uber cannot function properly without the garbage taxi protests
a shame that uber cannot function properly without the garbage taxi protests
Uber avoids a lot of legal garbage that taxi companies have to deal with. Some cities for example require using a certain type or color of a car or require specific markings which generally also isn't free. Uber completely avoids that. Not to mention taximeter requirements which can be an absolute pain. 90% of the issue companies have with Uber is because they completely avoid legal requirements that taxis have. The message, although sorta badly conveyed is that either Uber should be treated like a taxi company or all taxi companies should get deregulated.
