• Quick question regarding Graphics cards

Here goes: I was checking system requirements on some of my games (let's use Modern Warfare as an example). According to system requirements lab, I can run it, but I do not meet the recommended system requirements level because my graphics card is not good enough. to sum up, I can run it, but because of my graphics card, I can't run it on, say, "extra high" graphic settings. If I was to get a better video card, would that speed up the gameplay, eliminating lag I get from setting my graphics level too high? Or are there other causes to this? (By the way, most of the games I've been looking at say my processor is good enough for the recommended system requirements level.) BTW: If a mod decides this should go in PC building, go ahead and move if you like.
On the first question you're asking, It would depend. What is your CPU model, and Graphics card model?
CPU: Intel Pentium D CPU 2.80 GHz (2 CPUs) Graphics Card: ATI Radeon X1300/X1550 series According to dxdiag.
You're probably better off saving up for an all new computer.
