Look here: It shows 32 MBPS there but when I download a 657 MB file it only 40 Kbps ! I'm downloading through µTorrent and downloading a 657 mb file with 40 KBPS is a pain ! Why FP ? How can I make it use the speed ? Be aware that I use Mac !
get a faster internet connection, or use a torrent with more seeders. that's the only way it works.
Apparently you don't know how the bittorrent protocol works Read about it Find a torrent with more seeders
This torrent have 10 seeders is that a very little amount ?
Good god yours is way better than mine.
If your downloading from a torrent then turn your upload speed down.
Ok ^ How ?
and yes, anything under about 50 is a low number of seeders.
also 10 seeders isn't much at all edit: got beat :(
Ok ^ How ?
Right click on the torrent then go to Bandwith Allocation > Set Upload Limit > Set it to a low number < 50kbps
Plus, that isnt slow at all, i have a slow internet connection, i should get no les than 1MB a second, i dont even get 1 megabit a second =/

Awesome!
Yeah!
I have 15.82 down, and 0.98 up.
Right click on the torrent then go to Bandwith Allocation > Set Upload Limit > Set it to a low number < 50kbps
Limiting your upload speeds also limits your potential download speeds. In his instance, I don't think setting an upload limit is going to help, seeing as he's probably just not getting a great deal out of those seeding.

disable your graphic it increases
worthless tests, my Download went from 5, to 20, to 400, to 200, to 10, then to 7, after testing over and over. I call bullshit on all but the 200 one... Upload never went higher than 1.
Seeing as other people were posting theirs :smug:
that so hasn't been edited in any way at all
Indeed, I'm not sure that kind of speed is feasibly possible outside of a pure fibre-optic system over a relatively short distance - and nowhere really has that kind of infrastructure.
If your downloading from a torrent then turn your upload speed down.
Actually if you use Utorrent, you need to make sure your uploading at least 16kbs otherwise your download speed will be deminished ( it is to encourage people to upload more when they download )
That, and for every byte you download, you'll be uploading a parity bit to check for corrupt data. If you can't upload those bits fast enough for your potential download speed, you'll find that you simply won't download as quickly regardless.
Actually if you use Utorrent, you need to make sure your uploading at least 16kbs otherwise your download speed will be deminished ( it is to encourage people to upload more when they download )
Actually, this is bullshit. I have my upload always capped at 1kb/s and I get my max speed of 1.4mb/s. I really don't see how allowing it to upload would speed up my download.
Nice troll thread. 5/10
