I'm looking to get a new computer, as the one im using is so old, out of date, and the graphics card is finally giving up the ghost, and I was doing some research, and since I am on a VERY strict budget, I found this one on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=390068499923&fromMakeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:en#ht_5202wt_1084 I've done a fair bit of research on the parts, etc, but as I am not quite as tech savvy as some of the people on this forum, i was just looking for a bit of advice to whether I should buy it or not Thanks EDIT: Right, i believe that this computer i was going to buy just isnt good enough, so im gonna build myself a PC. Thanks for all the advice and stuff guys, you've been really really helpful
LOL. INTEL DUAL CORE E5200 = 2.5GHZ X2 = 5.0GHZ Also, the graphics card is probably a 9600GSO. For the price though, it's decent, I guess. EDIT: Heh, I missed the Intel onboard graphics part. I just assumed that from the 384MB spec, it's the less powerful version of the 9600GSO.
It sucks utter ass and wont play fuck all. INTEL GMA 3100 INTEGRATED GRAPHICS He did what they all do, bought a cheap intel mobo with an inbuilt graphics card.
All decent except for the GPU.
I have that CPU, it is a great overclocker and performs well stock.
Will the problem started with the case. To many LED's Also build one yourself. Tutorial: http://vimeo.com/5685229

Well I can't say it's that bad for the price, but it'td be cheaper if you built it yourself. And no, this won't play any games, the GMA 3100 sucks.
Okay, so if i could replace the GPU with something better, would it make a half decent computer, at that price range? Its mainly just so i can play Zeno Clash, TF2, etc on it.

And this budget really is super strict, 215 pounds is probably about the most i can afford
not bad for the price, but its an integrated gfx card which will need upgrading if you want to play any games etc
there ya go http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-179-SP&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=938 Cheap as chips, but it is great.

Hahaha, when I got my 8800GT new it cost nearly £200 they sell for like £70 now because they stopped production and if you can find them they are in the bargin bin - because companies just want to get rid of them.
You would still be able to build something better than that, I'm sure of it, even on that budget. And besides, I bet they cheaped out on the parts, which is not good if you don't want the fucker to blow up due to the PSU being overloaded (I don't remember seeing them mention a brand for it, so I guess thats a nasty no-name one). And the fact they added the core clocks together puts me off them straight away.
build one yourself.
Yep, this would be the best idea....
right, well, thanks for the info guys, i think i might try the Building it myself idea... any good websites for that? or should that be in a different topic...

Just buy that and a new graphics card.
