It is currently on sale for $10 on PSN. Is it worth buying? I heard some good things about it and I've never played it.
Yes.
Ask yourself this.
Do I like exciting adventure, long treks through an expansive environment and battles with giants the size of Shaq? If the answer to all of these is yes, then get the game

My answer was yes to all except the last question, which I can only assume is too big to beat in battle by yourself.
$10 for a Shadow Of The Colossus vs. Several thousand or million dollars for a whole colossus.
If all you want is shade, I say go for it. Beats shelling out that much more for Colossi-Chow.
Seriously, I've never played the game and can't comment on it. I HAD to post the joke I did.
Shadow of the Colossus was a great game, and still is. The scenery is nice, and each of the colossi you have to hunt down have their own quirks in regards to how they have to be beaten. It has a fairly interesting story to it as well (which is always a plus), so that's something you might enjoy. The musical score for the game is also very well done (at least in my opinion), which is very fitting for each of the colossi you have to take down. If it's only $10 for the game on PSN right now, I'd definitely suggest getting it.
The only downsides to the game (and they're really only downsides if you're wanting a more action-packed game with a faster pace and don't want to take the time to look at the scenery) is that there aren't any enemies between each of the colossi you have to hunt down (seriously, the only enemies in the game are just the colossi for the most part), and that you'll be travelling through a lot of barren locations (and I mean barren in the sense that there's nothing but scenery for the most part; as I said before, there aren't any enemies between each of the colossi you have to hunt down) for a majority of the game. If you don't mind those things, the game's worth playing.
you should buy it! and dont watch any guides or things that would spoil your experience, the feeling of discovering how to beat an enemy is worth it.
also it has one of the most amazing soundtracks in my opinion.
Yes...
The game is best played blind. Definitely worth it.
I should reinforce the "expansive environment". You will be doing a lot of running from Point A to Point B, and you may get lost. There's no enemies along the way either so it's a bunch of horse back riding you'll be doing.
I don't want to make it sound like a negative, the game is absolutely beautiful, but just get ready for some long horse rides.
If you can spare the dosh then there's no reason not to
Bought it! Thanks everyone
You will not regret your purchase.
Yes, yes, and yes.
Although be warned, you've gotta be patient with some of the colossi, because they start to get really challenging later on.
