I really really want to like this game.
It would have been so very much better on a different engine, but oh well.
I hate the combat in this game, but everything else surrounding it is quite nice. Has a pretty in-depth story and all that noise.
You gained brozouf You gained brozouf You gained brozouf You gained brozouf You gained brozouf Your legs are broken
I love this game. Have 57 hours clocked on it, all co-op.
It's a decent game in my opinion but holy shitsauce is it confusing sometimes. The level design, the general gameplay, the story, everything comes together to create a sickening sense of disorientation. If that's what the developers were going for then they're secretly geniuses.

Basically the game takes place in the super distant future of humanity, where a great and expansive civilization have fallen all the way back to our solar system because of this fucking cosmic Cthulhu-like force that takes the form of people's greatest fears. Now only a very very very small amount of humans are left on an ultra polluted and industrialized earth. Split off into factions, constantly fighting this cosmic force that is trying to fuck them all. the game pretty much started out as a mod, if the team had a better budget the game would way less obtuse and the lore would probably be easier to get a grasp off. It's ripe for expanding upon in my opinion because it's just so weird, creepy, and original.
I have this game, I couldn't pass the hacking door minigame, should I try again? :v:
I have this game, I couldn't pass the hacking door minigame, should I try again? :v:
Yes. All you have to do to pass it is press one or two buttons, I've forgotten which though.
This is the only game that I've hated as much as I loved it.

Absolutely terrible game in the most wonderful way possible, if that makes any sense. Honestly I adore EYE just because of how utterly alien and incomprehensible the whole game is. It's consistently inconsistent. The game's mechanics are as bizarre and opaque as the lore, the maps large, confusing mazes, and the enemies all manner of fancy soldiers and Eldritch abominations. It's just so damn memorable and easily one of my favorite games of all time, for all the reasons I'd usually hate a game. Basically, you'll either love it to pieces, or hate it for being a mess. (Which it is.) You have to try it.
This is a game where you can hack both AI people and other players, and if you fail, they can hack you. It has a lot of awesome ideas but it's very hard, doesn't make a lot of sense and is glitchy. But it's amazing for what it is.
So, and let's be honest here, but it's Warhammer 40k?
A bit more Asian culture themed and wayyyy more dreary and fucking weird than Warhammer 40k. Also this game has [sp]Cyber Demon[/sp] in it.
This game is both fucking awesome and fucking awful. I'd recommend it if it's below $5. A strange yet awesome game.

Really, once you get past the initial learning curve, and reach about level 10, the game really starts opening up and you start having a blast.
You can hack the ATM, and if you fail, it can kill you. so i carried the turrets up out of the starting cave thing cause i thought that's what it wanted me to do. It gunned down Duke and all the feds shot me after :(
Bought it during the summer sale and still have to try it.
I have this game, I couldn't pass the hacking door minigame, should I try again? :v:
It's actually pretty simple. The interface just makes it look complicated. Essentially, you and your target have three stats; attack, defense and HP. You have commands with which you can modify those stats and you basically have to buff your attack and defense while nerfing your target's and attack at the right opportunity while your target tries to do the same. Getting a higher Hacking stat allows you to execute commands faster.
Becoming a hacker is fun but the most viable way is to just blast your way through everything. A mod team could probably fix the game or some shit since it's on Source.
Also the lack of a manual save is fucking shit.
Just finish the objective.
Loved this game's character design and the soundtrack. It's a shame that the developers aimed too high and ended up with a mess. I still liked it, though.
I think them aiming high allowed them to make some really cool mechanics. They could of patched out the stupid shit though. Maybe rebalance the game or make it more clear. I actually spent 6 hours redoing the same mission because I wasn't sure what to do due to no clues or quest markers.
i played this and i just really couldn't get behind it at all, just because of how disorientated and wigged out i was. i'd still recommend everyone with the money buy this game - the thing is that the game itself is truly neither objectively good nor objectively bad, so it's all about how you subjectively take it. i couldn't take it, but i know that if you can, you'll find a really good game here. so yeah, it's pretty much the legitimately creepy PC version of Deadly Premonition. go try it
I remember playing this last year during a free weekend. I believe it was possible to hack your own vision and it got obscured by various symbols and smileys for a duration. Even though I couldn't figure out what the hell was going on i may pick this up.
if things could have mental disorders this game would probably have schizophrenia it rules
if things could have mental disorders this game would probably have schizophrenia it rules
But things can get mental disorders? its a major element of the game.
