Thought of this game first.

Just by looking at the first few reviews, it's not looking good at all.
I'd be surprised if people are still playing it by the end of February.
The ultimate game with no vision what so ever
I have more regrets buying this than buying Orion: Dino Beatdown

What the hell is that supposed to mean?
Sounds painful
So it's like a generic f2p fps but with custom maps? Doesn't seen really that interesting.

loved that game, speacially the nukes
I was looking forward to this game, disappointed to hear it seems to be such a messed up release, still gonna hold out hope that they're able to fix things up a bit soon.
Apparently aims to be fast paced like CS, but from what I've seen it's tons of recoil and tons of spread so good luck shitting shit.
ALERT, DO NOT BUY. Rekoil isn't even out yet and has been discounted TWICE. The publisher silences anyone from saying negative things about their game in the forums. The dirty practices from the company alone should be a warning sign. They are also the masterminds behind the massive flop Takedown Red Sabre, which also claimed to be a "back to the roots" game.
The truth needs to get out so nobody wastes more money on broken games. This game is NOT ready for release. To be frank it just isn't good period. Its absolutely NOTHING like an old schooter. NOTHING.
Companies are exploiting everyones desire for an old school game by labeling every POS they release as such. This game is NOTHING like Quake, Counter Strike, or any of those "old school" games. At $15 go buy CS:GO and have more fun.
I'm somewhat inclined to agree with them marking that as abusive since it's attacking them for having release and pre-order sales (both of which are common practices) and claiming this Dev was behind Takedown: Red Sabre (they weren't).
Not only does it appear to be boring, shit and generic, but apparently it runs like shite on some machines. Either that or Jim Sterling is in need of an upgrade. I'm thinking the former though, so I think avoid like a slavering zombie.
TotalBiscuit's currently on a cruise at the moment, so he can't murderize this title, but Jim Sterling put up a quick PSA about 30 minutes ago so that's got certain aces covered. But if they try to pull what the Garry's Incident guys tried to pull, TB'll probably turn the ship around and fire all cannons at Plastic Pirahna and/or 505 Games. The guys behind Scheiße of the Wolf are probably smart enough not to try this shit with him after the Garry's Incident Incident, and 505 are hopefully savvy enough to not make a similar slip.
Also, 505 were actually the publishers behind Red Sabre, though the devs of Red Sabre were Serellan LLC, whilst Plastic Pirahna are the devs behind Rekoil.

You're correct, they do have the same publisher, but the review said the games were made by the same people, and if they have different developers and different people working at those developers then they were not.

That being said this does still appear to be a highly unoptimized and unfinished game that should not have been released in this state. Honestly the earlier demos of this game looked more finished than what I can see of the release version.

It was kinda obvious from first glance.
MW2 is selling more copies than this on steam atm and this just came out.
So generally most people see what it is.

Another Rekoil video from Mr Sterling, this time with some more bugs and Rekoil at it's best, which isn't much.
