why does shacknews always post things three days after everyone else does
What a terrible headline, he was only using an example of the type of people they were trying to market to. He also takes the frat house quote out of context, Levine was describing taking Bioshock 1 to places like frat houses to try and promote it.
It seems like the writer of the article was trying to invoke some sort of negative reaction by saying they were marketing it to frat houses by falsely-assuring most people's assumption that they were "selling-out" or whatever by having the ugly cover.
Am I the only person that doesn't mind the cover?
What the fuck's with the Headline Shack News.
Its like they didn't read any other part of the article. The reasoning is 100% sound, and its not like boxart amounts to fuckall.
It looks like a cover that I would look at and want to read more about the game.
Reddit got mad over the cover so then everyone else thought thats what they should think.
Fuck the cover, who gives a shit, it could just be a picture of a pile of shit and I would still buy it.
Everyone just wanted it to be Elizabeths huge tits on the cover.
the cover's fucking awesome now pissopff
I don't see any issue with that
I mean all of us regular gamers (enthusiasts, 'hardcore gamers', whatever you want to call us) know enough about the new Bioshock to not have to make our buying choices based on the cover; if they have to use generic 'action movie' game covers/posters to get a wider audience to come in and experience what looks like a new, unusual and fresh graphic/plot/gameplay style then so be it. At least these people will hopefully come out of it with some fresh ideas and thoughts
what exactly is the problem with it?
I think it's considered too generic and not at all reflective of the depth and imaginative style of the game, which I can fully see. I think the fact that overall the game isn't really about holding a gun and blowing stuff up annoys some people when they see advertising for said game that depicts it like that
which is strange because if they're that concerned with how it markets itself then they already know enough to make their own purchasing decisions without being influenced one bit by the cover art
what exactly is the problem with it?
People say its bad because its the main character holding a gun like every other box art ever made.
Me?
I say the box art doesn't mean shit as long as the game's good.
Can we have RPS back already?
