• Xbox 360 Audio and Internet problem

So recently I hooked up my XBOX to my new HP 2509b, via HDMI, but I have no audio, the monitor doesn't have built in speakers. Also I need a way to hook it up via internet without having to take turns with the PC and the Xbox, I have an old hub, but It may rape my connection speed. What I have been contemplating doing is getting an XBOX 360/PC compatible headset, or any sort of USB powered audio device for the XBOX. I'm still stuck on what I'm going to do about the ethernet... I'd like to be able to play my Xbox on my PC screen without dropping 100's of $$. Help would be much appreciated.

They only get power from the USB plug. Thankfully my TV has some Audio out RCA's, so I just hooked it up through there and I get audio out to my Trittons.
I know.
So can I get some sort of ethernet hub or splitter? My xbox is 3 rooms away from my router, so I cant just get another cable.
If you have a router, why are you switching between xbox and pc?

A monitor with HDMI should have optical out. You'll need some kind of digital receiver, whether you're using headphones or surround speakers.
A cheap switch would probably be a whole heck of a lot easier.
Depending on where the devices are located. And running a long cable is much much cheaper.

Bridge connections between computer and Xbox.
That's assuming he has more than one ethernet port on the back of his computer.
Depending on where the devices are located. And running a long cable is much much cheaper.
It depends if the OP even wants to run another cable or has an extra port free on his router. There really isn't a right or wrong way.
It depends if the OP even wants to run another cable or has an extra port free on his router.
I know. I don't even know why we're keeping this thread alive since OP knows which solution is best for him/her.
