After experiencing Mirrors Edge I noticed that with the physx option turned on certain parts of the game began lagging intensely such as exposure to bullet impacts, glass breaking, and character models. Without these things present in the game FPS would jump from 5 back up to 60. After turning physx off their was no difference in FPS whatsoever even when exposed to the previously lag inducing objects. I have a visiontek HD4870 so I do not believe it supports physx like a Nvidia card does. Is their any kind of PPU on the market that can take care of the physx lagging issue such as an Agea card or any other third party card that is reliable most preferably PCI-Express X1. Or even more importantly is physx worth it? The only real differences I noticed were shards of glass moving and making contact with the floor, better movement, and bullets impacting surfaces. ATI Cards don't support Physx, although they do have Cuda support. There are modified drivers to make ATI cards use Physx, but the normal driver downloads don't.
PhysX isn't worth it at all.
Also, browser has nothing to do with your operating system.
Oh sorry browser is in their because of a copy and paste I did from new egg.
