Its not a Far Cry game if your character isn't getting high for some stupid reason to have weird visions.

This is ubisoft, they havent had a single original thought in years. They just keep remaking the same games.

Far Cry 3 did it and it was kinda interesting the first time but then the writers decided to not only copy it but fucking amplify for the next game to the point where any artistic merit that 3 or 4 had essentially got crushed by all the psuedo-mature shit they push in their stories. It's like awful oscar bait movies that take themselves too seriously when really the offer nothing significant or interesting.
I'm actually cautiously optimistic about this one. The prior iterations of Far Cry were samey but solid, and this seems like more of a departure than has been taken up to now from the whole 'guns against an exotic backdrop' concept that they've been hammering into the ground.
