I am thinking of buying a eyefinity setup like this: http://www.dabs.com/products/best-value-23--l-2362wd-5ms-dvi-hd-lcd-tft-with-speakers-635L.html x3 and this adapter: http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Dell-Active-DisplayPort-to-DVI-(Dual-Link)-Adapter-1080P-Ready My spec is: Phenom II x4 3.4Ghz 4GB DDR2 ATi 5770 1GB Will my PC run games at the full res of 5760x 1080, or should I go for 3 monitors which have the 1680 x 1050 res each so it would be 5040 x 1050 for smoother gameplay? Games I play: WoW BF2 All valve games CoH series CoD series £400 budget
Im sure that WoW would run , but not sure about the other games
Eyefinity isn't really that great
Eyefinity isn't really that great
and why? I also use the PC for game design, so I use UDK, 3DS Max , Photoshop etc so that would be a huge work space and would be very helpful.
Well for your games they'll be much slower than if you just used one monitor. Think about how you're essentially rendering three times the game space. And since your only on a 5770 some of your games may not run too well.

Yeah games will run much slower. But I'd get it just for the sake of bigger workspace.

Maybe you could throw in a second 5770. Make sure you have a big desk.
Maybe you could throw in a second 5770. Make sure you have a big desk.
My desk is big enough and I don't have a crossfire mobo. Are there benchmarks for the Ati 5770 performing at 5040 x 1050, I only can find videos for 5760 x 1080 and they dont work on my netbook. It shouldnt run too bad, I mean I ran tf2 maxxed out at 3600 x 1050 on a single 9600gt 512mb with hardly any lag.
