• Intense horror games?

The last month I have been playing all the dead space games and I have to say that I just love being scared. Even in battles in dead space when enemies jump from while I focus on another enemy I scream like a little bitch. Now since I am done with all the dead space series I am looking like crazy to find some good ones but no luck. Do you guys any good suggestions up in this bitch? I have played Afraid of monsters. Doom 3 condemned dead space. Penumbra games Amnesia I will play cry of fear but if you have more please tell me. It feels like I am addicted to being scared shitless. Adrenaline is hell of a drug
try afraid of monsters and cry of fear
What other games have you played so we don't suggest ones you've done already But, FEAR is pretty good if you haven't played it
Metro 2033 isn't really scary, but it's extremely intense and immersive
Fear 1 and 2.
try afraid of monsters and cry of fear
Cry of fear is currently broken at the moment just wait for the standalone release coming this month, as for afraid of monsters im not sure if that works
Fuck me sideways.... I really wanted to play cry of fear. Played only on hard untill some part of the game and then I quitted because I couldn't handle it.
Yeah Valves updates have rendered the game unfixable so the Minuit the games programmer is just going along with the stand alone release
The Penumbra series
I apologize for forgetting that shit boss. Damn Penumbra was fucking intense. Shit made me feel alive yo all know wha im sayin?
I apologize for forgetting that shit boss. Damn Penumbra was fucking intense. Shit made me feel alive yo all know wha im sayin?
I am reading all your posts in the voice of The Rock. Also, little game, but very intense. http://www.scpcbgame.com/
Play Silent Hill 1-4 you lightweight.

Have you played Ravenholm?
Monster Girl Quest. It's the true definition of terror.
Silent Hill 2.
Fuck me sideways.... I really wanted to play cry of fear. Played only on hard untill some part of the game and then I quitted because I couldn't handle it.
I'm able to play Cry of Fear right now, there's some issues, but they can be worked out.
I have finished Silent Hill 2,3,4 and they had an amazing story and great atmosphere and all that jazz. These games are not really intense for me though. The SCP game is gonna be damn good. Also Half-life 2 is a religion for me so I have obviously played ravenholm brutha from anutha mutha. Shined them bullets real good, turned em sideways and shoved em up them zombie asses. Ermac PM me to add you on steam fool so we can get that shit explained. So any more indie or whatever game I don't give a fuck I just want to shit my pants. Also if Cry of fear is working and someone can get a server PM me so we can scream together. People are always being entertained when I play amnesia(since it's the only horror game people irl around me know)
I'm able to play Cry of Fear right now, there's some issues, but they can be worked out.
Theres a bunch of things you have to do to get it working, i would just wait for the standalone release
Theres a bunch of things you have to do to get it working, i would just wait for the standalone release
awwww shit. Yo all need some Cry of fear in yo lifes and this ain't good.
Nightmare House 2 is pretty scary for a Source mod. http://www.moddb.com/mods/nightmare-house-2 There are also mods for Amnesia if you want some more of that (although last time I checked a couple of months ago, they're not very good)
Also, little game, but very intense. http://www.scpcbgame.com/
I haven't played in a while, but yes this game was/is fucking intense. Multiple monsters all chasing you in a randomly generated maze/office building of sorts.
survival crisis z on hardcore mode, preferably if you are under the effects of some sort of hallucinogen prepair to be shitstormed by flashing visions of mutilated children eating your soul, while being chased around by chained angles of doom [editline]8th April 2013[/editline] http://ska-studios.com/2007/09/07/just-a-friendly-reminder/

Now the amnesia mods should be something refresing. I am really fucked up aren't I?
SCP Containment Breach
stalker series? scared me enough
Not long or elaborate, but free and downloadable: Which imscared Mondo Medicals
Seems like you've hit all the big ones. I'm an enthusiast myself and I think you're pretty much caught up. The STALKER series certainly has some frightening moments which are introduced organically, but be forewarned; the series takes some getting used to. It is, in a lot of ways, as much an RPG as it is an FPS so try to keep that in mind if you decide to play. It is not overtly a Horror game by any means so don't go into it thinking that it is. It is actually rather difficult to classify now that I make the attempt. Lets see, the indie puzzle-platformer Limbo had some very eerily disturbing moments so you might give that a run through. However, the pacing lends itself to a more meditative experience as opposed to an adrenaline high. There was those SCP 087 games that were popular for a while. They are fun to play, particularly with friends, but the experience reveals itself to be rather shallow after a few goes. They are more of an experiment in atmosphere and pacing rather than a complete experience. The Slenderman game is similar to the SCP games in spirit, though it is a much more fleshed out game. Again, this is another fun adrenaline rush that is particularly fun in a group setting. Granted it is much scarier alone with the lights off and no one says you can't do both. What else? I imagine there are some Japanese titles that might be worth checking out. I think Clocktower is one I saw reviewed on X-Play back when it was still on TechTv. The characterizations in those Japanese horror games always come across as a little stilted to me and tend to ruin my experience, but you might enjoy them. There are some zombie-themed multiplayer games that I've gotten a lot of mileage out of. Zombie Panic Source and No More Room in Hell both offer good bouts of adrenaline rush. The downside is the horror is often mitigated by the fact that you're playing with random internet dwellers. Still, there remains something to be said for these games' ability to press on your soul the feeling that 'they' are closing in. Personally I am eagerly awaiting Frictional Games next title Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs. Those guys know horror. As of right now their looking to release in Q2 of 2013 so not too far away.
The new slender man game gave me a hell of scare as I was relaxed inside some rooom looking for a paper and he appeared behind me(fucking poorly developed enemy but still scared me). That shit was good. I will check out this Limbo and you are right about the japanese titles, I have discovered a game white day whick also looks promising. Damn this thread is becoming a gold mine for horror games. Keep it coming people because I am simply lovin it yo. Also Zombie panic has a lot of value for me as I have spent hours and hours playing it either with internet dwellers or with irl friends and god damn it I still remember that song that was on loop...the name of it had the word cave in it I think. Also, I have never tried the god damn Stalker series and I always wanted to. Motherfucker is noted on my list for the future.
