So, I bought borderlands, great game, runs smoothly... When it decides to run. I've gotten two errors (see images below) quite a few times and it's starting to bug me. I've had various problems with the game, but I can't really address the other ones if the game won't start... I've reinstalled it twice.
I have an XPS 600 (old right?) computer with defult parts. I'm not that tech savy so all I'm really doing is launching the game, accepting the video options it has set and played. I think I've figured out that because the errors occur even after reinstalling, it must be something with my computer, right?

Have you tried to set the affinity to only one core at start up?
Nonetheless, it seems like the developers have confirmed this as a known bug, and they are trying to fix it in the next patch.
You might want to read through this: http://gbxforums.gearboxsoftware.com/showthread.php?t=79048 if you've not yet, a lot of suggestions on how to fix it is in there.
