http://www.buzzfeed.com/regajha/how-privileged-are-you This quiz is dumb, so I took it. I got a big fat even though I consider myself to have a lot of good that others don't.
Judging by the questions, if you are a straight white male you are privileged.
surprisingly I'm not. Only 39/100. probably my depression and the bullying I used to go through changed that. as well as my asthma and allergies. But I'm still a straight white male so idk. either way, I don't know how someone could take this quiz seriously.

You’ve had a few struggles, but overall your life has been far easier than most. This is not a bad thing, nor is it something to be ashamed of. Roommates and public transportation truly are signs of oppression, just as waiters and bartenders are worse than any other service industry or blue collar job.

Wow this is retarded.

Wow, it assumes you live in the US. This website can check its own privilege why should anyone even have to check their privilege, who fucking cares
45/100. Well that was a waste of 3 minutes.
"I have never been *stuff here* for my identities" What

We don’t live in an ideal world, but you happened to be born into an ideal lot. This is not a bad thing, nor is it something to be ashamed of. It just means a lot of other people in the world don’t live life with the advantages you have, and that’s something you should always be aware of. Hey, the fact that you took the time and effort to check your privilege means that you’re already trying.
Huh...
The comments at the bottom of that page are pretty funny to look at.
I've been told I'm skinny and I feel that I'm skinny because I'M FUCKING SKINNY. I don't try to hide the fact that I am and I don't see why people would be upset by being skinny.
I didn't even understand the last questions. What the hell are my "identities?"
The way the questions are asked, I feel like this quiz is targeted at obese gay transgender Muslims from Africa. God damn.
a lot of this is unanswerable to everyone who isn't american
The way the questions are asked, I feel like this quiz is targeted at obese gay transgender Muslims from Africa. God damn.
Just felt your words merited being said twice. 35/100 And this was a very biased quiz. -edit Whit straight male as if it matters.
'i am a man' closed
"I am a man" How is that a privilege on its own? I wouldn't complain if they had something like "I am getting paid more than my female colleagues" or something, but that's just bullshit. I have been discriminated against because I'm a man a few times too. For instance we still have conscription for men, some clubs have free entrance for women etc. It's as simple as they think it is.
66/100 white cis straight male scum sorry
You know your 'privilege checker' is devolving into a first-world-problems pity party when the questions are trivial bullshit like having worked service jobs or taken unpaid internships. I can sympathize with the struggles minority groups have to go through, but some of these people moping over how hard they have it need a swift kick in the ass and some time in actual adversity so they can get some perspective before making such sweeping assumptions about who's had a harder life. Where are the entries for 'you grew up in an environment where you weren't afraid for your life' or 'you lived someplace people understood your language' or 'you haven't been targeted for terrorism'? My childhood was spent in the Middle East and east Africa and I strongly resent the implication that I've had an easier life than most just because I'm white and straight. Like, I get the idea of privilege. It makes sense- a lot of people don't realize that there are factors that give them advantages over others. Being a man is a privileged position, because I do know that sexism exists and I don't have to deal with that, so it's an advantage. But my number one complaint with these privilege checklists is that they're explicitly designed to only take into account certain factors that might set the average member of a minority group apart from the average member of a majority group, and don't account for the diversity of experiences that normal people have. You can say 'You're white and straight, so if you live in America you will probably have an easier time', but when you start saying 'You're white and straight, so you've had it easy' then it's unfair and assumptive.
Answering the sexuality questions was interesting, especially because I'm asexual. The quiz is clearly loaded because it strongly assumes that someone taking this is either straight or gay; e.g. questions like "Have people called you a fairy?" The quiz is very black-and-white and almost seems to force answers. I'm a white male so I can't really comment on the questions relating to race and gender/sex, but I assume they are stacked like this as well. I feel like the quiz also assumes that you are either black or white, but that may be a stretch. It was just interesting coming from the perspective of someone who is neither gay nor straight, because it pointed out what feels like a big logical flaw in the quiz. I'm assuming the quiz is also somewhat of a joke, but the fallacy is kind of obnoxious. [editline]9th July 2014[/editline]
The way the questions are asked, I feel like this quiz is targeted at obese gay transgender Muslims from Africa. God damn.
This about sums it up. Also with all that being said I got a 62
44/100 not privileged, probably because of social problems/disabilities, sexual abuse, bullying, depression, "religious beliefs" and sexuality. Otherwise I'm a white male, so I may look "privileged" but everything you can't see says otherwise. Really tells you not to judge a book by it's cover.
Buzzfeed is probably one of the worst sites I've ever been to
I've been told I'm skinny and I feel that I'm skinny because I'M FUCKING SKINNY. I don't try to hide the fact that I am and I don't see why people would be upset by being skinny.
People see being skinny for males especially as less than ideal.

That last sentence is downright patronizing and abhorrent. We don't need to check anything. We know racism and discrimination is still in abundance, and we are trying to do something about it. "hey you're trying!" Trying what? Checking if I'm fucking something that doesn't exist? Why should I feel ashamed because of my colour, gender and race? Why should I feel guilty of something that is BEYOND ALL of our control? We don't choose where our conciousness goes, so I don't fucking think people should have a say in what i should feel fucking guilty about or not. Fuck Tumblr and it's "down with le white patricarchy xddd"
