So instead of beating myself up over which console to buy, I've decided I want to buy a gaming PC (that's affordable). What is the best site to buy one that's around 500 or 600 bucks.
you are going to get told this a lot if you stay with this mindset but it's pretty true:
BUILD YOUR OWN PC

I don't know how to do that, and I don't have the patience to learn. I just want to know a place where I can buy a good PC

I thought that was well. It's actually really easy, just like putting a LEGO set together.
This video helped me a lot.

it literally takes a 10 min video to learn. Don't say that patience bullshit. You do have the patience.
LEGO sets are literally more complicated than building a pc.
Yeah building your own PC is extremely easy and much better than "pre built" custom PCs and you'll get better parts for the price.
Like bdd458 said, is basically like putting LEGO together, its almost impossible to plug something in wrong since they only fit a certain way. I built my first computer in about 30 minutes, so it's not a very time consuming task.
Also, I hate to say it but if you can, you should try to save up a bit more. Just the GPU and CPU for a gaming computer can run you about $300-$400, of course it depends on what games your planning on playing though.

I got a $1700 custom gaming laptop from them and it's great. It took about a month for me to get it since they're such a small company but it was good.
Could build something better than that for waaayyy less if you bought all the parts yourself.
Just the GPU and CPU for a gaming computer can run you about $300-$400
well, shit looks like i'm gonna have to get this stuff one at a time.
well, shit looks like i'm gonna have to get this stuff one at a time.
well if you want to lower the grade a bit you could do 200-300$ but any less would be pushing it.
If I wanted to build it, I would have. I'm completely satisfied with my purchase - I don't need your critique of it.
And good luck finding a GTX 780M by itself.
if you are willing to spend the bux and you need to travel and play games then, by all means, all power to you. Thing about laptops is that they degrade (like all technology) in performance over the course of a couple of years.
With a desktop pc you simply have to remove w/e part you want that has become a lump of metal (well you know, has degraded / gone out of touch with the current generation.) I'm sure you already know all this though as well as obviously laptops run quite a bit hotter.
Trust me I know what I'm talking about. I bought a laptop a couple of years ago. Could play skyrim and bf3, (for example,) max settings when they came out. Now it struggles to play them on high with most settings turned down. Also it runs hot as fuck now and I have a laptop cooler. Cleaned out the dust and everything.
Thing is on its way out. rip in peace
http://www.choosemypc.net/ Of course, this would just be a recommendation and help you suit your price range, but it could still work out if you wanted to just get the parts without choosing any yourself.
Get your PC from your local super-market.
Buy the parts and a nearby computer shop will probably set everything up for you for a small fee.
Cheaper then buying from the sites that market up like 60% on everything
Sometimes Motherboards are actually colour coded, making it even simpler. When I bought the parts to my PC I wasn't sober (i know i know :c) and didn't have a clue how to build it. When the parts arrived it was so obvious that I only had to look up a single video and that same computer is still functioning perfectly. Although I did forget to order a DVD Drive :v:

Was it a clevo?
Hell, if you buy the parts you need, you could just video chat with someone in real time to get them to help you build it

Or teamviewer advanced body control.

Small bump, but I really can't recommend doing this. If you buy the mobo/cpu now, there may be an updated one in a few months that is the same price and leagues better. Save up 1k or something and buy everything at once
prepare to spend $3-400 on the GPU if you want a decent computer that'll max out everything for the next year, probably around $3-400 on a decent CPU/mobo. Never cheap out on the PSU, and get a little cheap case if you're on a budget
As long as you're not water cooling, building a PC is really easy and not all that time consuming. Maybe one day to build and get everything installed + working out kinks. 2 days if you run into problems.
Shit ain't cheap, but its worth it.
If you have a local computer store, not retail, ask if they can build one. My local store built my tower for like $30.
