In doing so, Self Radio now gives horrible performance and stuttering when used.
Great.
How the heck is it even possible to have errors like this related to Windows Media Player? Does it somehow check a person's computer as a form of DRM? It's not that people really use WMP so much, like when I watch DVD through VLC media player and that is an open source application.

Maybe it uses/used some WMP components to play the music you add yourself (?)

Anyone on Windows is gonna have WMP, though. It's a built-in app that installs alongside the rest of Windows when the machine is built.

It always had this problem for me at random times. Without the media player even being on or anything.

You can still uninstall it if you want to.

It's likely it uses WMP and Movie Maker components to render the movies you make in the Rockstar Editor
And mouse sensitivity is still inversely proportional to the framerate, great.

Unless you're in Europe?

And how many people do that? For that matter, how many people even know you can do that?
It's such a small percentage of Windows users who go to the trouble of uninstalling WMP that I can see no harm in using its functionality in a game if need be, assuming anyway that it's done without being a glitchy pile of shit.
