Steam is something people will talk about next few years. It achieved so much, even porting games to Mac. I still remember seeing people saying:"PC is better, because you can play games ofcourse".

Whiles Macs are getting there, the library is still small in comparison and doesn't have classics like Rollercoaster Tycoon 1 and 2.
Plus there are a ton of games which have mac ports but are not available on Steam.

I encourage every developer to port their games to Windows, Mac and Linux.

It's extremely convenient, shows you are prepared for anything that may happen long-term by having all bases covered and in the long run may help you be forgiven for mistakes you may make in the future.

eh most AAA mac ports tend to be dedicated crossover packages as opposed to be running truly native. It's slowly changing of course, but I doubt we'll see a shift anytime soon.
