Valve sent me a hat made out of actual money to celebrate (for the record it was made out 700 GBP).
That's just awesome, Well done Garry. :D
Damn, I always forget how old Gmod10 actually is. It feels like it only came out 2 or 3 years ago.

We should have known. Valve has always had a hat fetish I guess.
Six years? Boy does time fly.
Do you still have the hat, garry?
Take that money and invest it into Facewound 2: Facewounder
two things, it's been so long you've grown hair.
second, that was valve?!

one time Garry used a twitter type commenting system where that question was asked and he said he spent it all.

Oh god, there's Facepunchers who didn't know about the money-hat?
1200 sales per day god damn
lets assume half goes to valve and other little services and shit
facepunch studio's gross profit is $6000 per day

and assuming high costs of office rent, server uptime, utilities, etc facepunch makes $1000 of pure profit each day
we need garry to spill some numbers for us
Gary is fucking rolling in cash.

You'd think pretty soon everyone will have GMod. I can't imagine 1200 new people buying the game EVERY DAY.
Garrysmod was pretty much the only reason I got my own steam account, and gmod along with CSS was my first purchase onto it. It's certainly come a long way but I still have screenshots from when I started and my building skills certainly haven't improved.
Any insight into your plans after gmod?
We also have to take into account that many of those sales would have come from Valve sales, where it goes down to just a few dollars.
Some numbers would be nice though, Garry.
Seven days.
But damn it, if it wasn't for Gmod, we possibly wouldn't have Facepunch right now.
Congratulations!
It's already been that long? It feels like yesterday I was playing Gmod 9.
It's been a loooooooong 6 years.
Shit, I still think Garry's Mod 10 is still "new".
Garry do you have a picture of the hat? I would love to see this hat.
pfft, JBMod is just as popular and has lasted longer
cant believe its been 4 years since i discovered gmod
I really wish though that it would be easier to lift data caps for servers like in the original iteration of 10. Or that more people would do it.
When I first found Garrys mod on youtube in 2007, I thought it was an Agia PhysX demo thing.

I still remember the day my friend got me to buy the HL2 + GMOD bundle. Then remember asking why everything was purple and why there were errors everywhere.
Congrats Garry!
Now, about 154....
I still remember the first thing I created, I make it every once in a while just for fun. That and it's actually pretty useful.
Congratualtions, Garry!
Dang... if you're averaging around 1,200 sales a day you probably have made somewhere beyond $26,280,000 just off Garry's Mod... and somewhere beyond $2,000,000 off the forums.
Woah now, 6 years just for Gmod 10? I thought it would be 6 years since the very first release. Damn that's been a while. I still remember v3.
