I replaced ExplorerFramel.dll and now I can't start Explorer.exe

Hey, I runnning Windows 7 32 bit, and I just replaced ExplorerFrame.dll because I thought it'd be as simply as replacing Explorer.exe, but apparently it isn't. Every time I try to restart Explorer via Windows Task Manager because I ended it to see if the new ExplorerFrame.dll would work, I get this stupid error.
explorer.exe - bad image
C:\Windows\system32\EXPLORERFRAME. dll os either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support.
I did google, and found out that if I enter svc \ scannow in command prompt, it might replaced the broken explorerframe.dll with the default one, but every time I start up Command Prompt using Windows Task Manager (because there's no other way to do it) and try in the command, it says I need to start Command Prompt as administrator. So how do I start something as administrator from Windows Task Manager? Or does someone have a simpler way of restoring Explorerframe.dll. Remember, I explorer.exe isn't running, so I don't have any interface.

God damn it, there's a typo in the title. Oh well.
first of all don't restart your pc. try replacing the file with cmd.exe google how to replace it.
If 7 is like Vista, you should be able to run the Command Prompt, then right-click its process under the Processes tab and go to Properties. Then under the Compatibility tab, check Run as Administrator.

This.
Or you can boot to a Command Prompt window via the F8 Boot Menu.
You placed a 32-bit file in \System32\ when you have a 64-bit system or vice versa.
Thanks for the replies guys. I probably did that panda, as I was really sleepy when I was working on the computer. I'll give your suggestions a try.

Alright, so everything in the Compatibility tab in cmd.exe's properties is grayed out.. Now what? :frown:
Just tried to do it on my box, haha.
You should be on and admin account anyway. If you aren't, get someone who is.
You should use a sludge hammer against the hard drive.
It will replace any files that are broken, and it will not damage your computer in any way
but in all seriousness, just turn off your computer, put in your windows 7 disk (It should come with it) and there should be an option to replace any broken files
but i think you can do that by restarting it and using scandisk. (Im not sure if they removed that)
I'll give using the Windows disk a try. And if anything, how do I boot up to use scandisk?
Alright, cool. I booted up into the Windows disk and just did a system restore, and everything went back to normal. Thanks for the help!
