Does it have a SICC multiplayer Edit: Just noticed it doesn't have one. Dang I was hoping to plug up four controllers and relive some good memories.

Turok 2 did tho, and they are planning on bringing that back once that port is done. So there's at least that to look forward to.
What is all this Why did Turok 1 of all things suddenly get the greatest remastering of all time with modding support and level editors and everything
What is all this Why did Turok 1 of all things suddenly get the greatest remastering of all time with modding support and level editors and everything
tbh its a notgood remaster. they fucked with the levels, took out fucking walking and double-tap dodging, and went silent for 10 months for no fucking reason and when they finally released the fucking tools, they still aren't fully fucking featured yet. and they sell this for 20 fucking dollars what the fuck turok isn't even that good of a game in the first place. its a mediocre shooter who's lone selling point was dinosaurs, and that shits only cool when you're 12 and there's like 3 fucking shooters on the fucking console you have. quake, doom, unreal, they're all cheaper and better for your money
They modified a few levels to fix glitches/graphical issues and change a few segments. While odd that they did this, it really doesn't ruin the game and now the original levels are up on the workshop. It really isn't a huge deal because 95% or more of the game's original level content is there. Turok can still move at variable speeds if you use a joystick and while its odd its gone, it is not really that important. Its odd that double-tapping is gone too but its just a little hop. You have proper PC controls and can circle strafe and run around like no one's business. I think that more than makes up for these minor losses. They went silent because of legal reasons to my knowledge. The tools are capable of fully creating levels and you've been able to do a hell of a lot already before the SDK considering the game uses an unencrypted zip format for its resources and has had a mod loading feature since launch. They are continuing to improve the tools and have already released a few patches for it. So besides quality of life improvements and more complete animation + model editing (still possible right now but janky) you can do pretty much anything else. Last point is honestly really not relevant. Anyone who wants this is someone who either loves Turok or wants this niche product.
The last time I properly played this game was on the N64 and it controlled like a boat anchor and the platforming bits n bobs were really irritating. It's much easier but I think thats because they've increased the view distance and it controls a ton better. This has been a great remaster honestly.
