I'm still baffled so many companies seem to think that since modern VR is finally successful thanks to not requiring bulky, unwieldy and expensive (relatively) equipment the smart thing to do is make bulky, unwieldy and expensive equipment to go along with it I guess it works if your target demographic is people with more money than sense
VR Knee Pads
I'm still waiting for the VR anal plug tbh

So this expensive pair of shoes cost more than the headset itself, no thank you.
Someone just should make VR-trackable mocap suit already :v:
you could buy the headset AND the computer for that price :v: Almost anyways

Grand Theft Auto? Fuck yes DOOM ??
https://youtu.be/KQemsXGpBOw
Doesn't look anything like full body tracking, just hacks similarly to hover junkers.
There's a few around still being worked on, and funny enough a dev kit for this one costs about as much as that ridiculous pair of shoes I can't vouch for its quality but sure as hell if I had a thousand dollars to waste I know which one I'd choose
That's more like it
This is getting out of hand, no pun intended. I don't want gloves and sandals with my VR experience. I want higher resolutions, more depth perception, I want them to fix the motion sickness problems that seem to pop up every once in a while. I want BETTER GAMES. not sandals man... not fucking sandals. :nope:

Then people put their heads through walls?" and then I realized that you wear VR headsets on your HEAD and that I'm a stupid asshole.

I do feel like that adding tracking to your feet is kind of the next step for VR interaction. With it, you can pretty much have a more or less accurate full body representation. I just don't see why they made them so big and bulky, the sensors that Vive controllers use are pretty small, I imagine you'd probably just need a few of those strapped on.

You need at least 3 sensors to determine the location and rotation of something, and them moving around in relation to each other would make it impossible to track it.
