Kingdom Hearts 1 or 2? - General

Which one do you think is the best. 2 is mine.

2. It had better controls and the camera didn't make me feel like my soul was being torn apart.

2 felt better from a gameplay perspective (to an extent, sometimes it got a bit crazy) but 1 still holds a special place in my heart.

I played 2 first, so when I eventually got 1 and played it. I was confused as fuck.

Both are great. But my vote is 2

I like both equally the same. Planning to get the HD pack for PS3.

2 for me, it just really felt better in overall gameplay, they're both great though.

I liked both. But I prefer the gameplay from KH2 and the story from KH1

1 because it was my first PS2 game, is harder than the second one and have cool boss battles.

really the only thing that KH2 did somewhat worse was that the story went full retard at parts, otherwise it was a lot more fun, polished, and overall better designed than KH1

Only played KH II so I'm voting that. I've ordered the 'KH HD 1.5 ReMix', which is Kingdom Hearts 1 on 2's controls and engine. Plus you know, HD, more enemies and bosses, places cutscenes items and so on. Also comes with KH CoM in HD, and 358/2 days converted from nintendo ds to ps3, but its only cutscenes, just under 3 hours of them

Story-wise KH1 is much more coherent and moving imo. combat was more fluid in KHII but I think they sort of gimmickified combat with the triangle "reaction button", most of the time it was pretty much "press triangle to win", especially late-game.

Sure, but the story helps move the KH series altogether as a whole. Can't just have the gameplay of KH without the story and cut-scenes, it wouldn't work.

I liked both a lot. Especially the final mix versions. I guess I prefer the second one a little more. (Except Sephiroth was pretty easy. (At least they added a much harder boss))

I would say the 1.5 version of the original. 1.5 modernizes a few controls.

1 has the better story by far, and did the disney shit way better, and hollow bastion+end of the world were fucking amazing. But KH2FM is just way better as a game, the combat is amazing, the boss fights are incredible, critical mode is the shit and the Data fights are amazing. Especially the Roxas fight.
