Choice of two cards, ATI Radeon HD 4300/4500 or Nvidia Quadro 1500

So, title pretty much says it all, I have the choice between two cards, which one would be better for graphics and developing games, the ATI HD 4300/4500 or Nvidia Quadro 1500 ?

The Quadro is a workstation graphics card, it's really meant for CAD and accurate rendering.
I would get the Radeon.

Not that the Quadro is a bad card, I have a 4400 running nicely in my server.

If you're making games, you might as well get the GPU designed for potential gamers (Radeon). It's rather weak, but I am going to assume that you won't be making anything demanding.

I don't actually know, both dxDiag and belarc say ATI Radeon HD 4300/4500

If you want a workstation card it'll be useless for playing games, I have a Quadro 2000 on my work PC and it doesn't perform nearly as well as my 5850 on my games machine (for gaming, for working on Max with iRay it's useful. If you're doing CAD or 3D Design and also gaming then getting a GeForce with CUDA cores will be best.

Quadro fx is not made for gameing.

The Quadro won't run games well but neither will a 4300. The difference being that the Quadro will be great for development and CAD.

I honestly doubt he is getting it for free.

Go with the ATI 4500 since it is 1. from a newer generation and 2. it's better for gaming.
