Recently, the nostagia monster hit me real bad and I got the urge to reinstall LEGO island on my windows 7 laptop

Remember this, anyone?
Well, upon what looked like a successful install, I get to the splash screen:

RUN GAME yields no results whenever the screen comes up.
I dont know what I should try, and as it is a very old 32-bit game, there might not be anything I can do about it.
If anyone could help, or has any gerneral tips for running old games on newer computers, I'd be very thankful.

Lego Racers yields no results either.... :(
Lego Racers works for me if I play it windowed. Try that.

Lego racers wont open for me, so i dont know how to change it to windowed without opening the program and finding it in settings.
thank you though
did you set compatibility mode?
ive set compatibility mode for both to windows 95 and 98, and have tried it on both LEGO island and Racers.
no change.
thank you anyway
Nostalgia'd.
Are you running 7 Pro or Home Premium? If it's Pro/Ultimate, you could try the XP VM.
Home version, Thanks anyway
I remember this game - was probably the first thing I ever did on a computer.
I never managed to get it working on ME or even XP, so I doubt it will work on 7. Try running it on a virtual machine or something.
Was this the game with the pizza guy and the skateboard?
fucking yes
brickster is the baddest motherfucker in existence

Yeah. They re-released it at some point. Pity the original doesn't work.

LIES
I had it working on my W7 Home Premium 32-bit (Faked through careful legal use of a VM for games) laptop.
Don't remember what I did, though. But I had it working...
VirtualBox that mess.
