• Reasonably Priced Equivalent to AMD Phenom 955 BE?

In a certain series of unfortunate events some of my hardware failed, my CPU included. I'm going to have to get some new parts, and I was wondering what a reasonably priced equivalent-or-better CPU would be and what ATX motherboard would be a good match for it (I can't seem to find a 955 BE on newegg anymore) Edit: I also have this RAM, should I keep it or toss it?
The 955 BE is pretty old, that's why you can't find it. What exactly is your budget?
$150 or less for each component (or $300 or less for both) would be ideal.
This would do you well. Would also be a good improvement on the Phenom. I would also suggest new/at least more RAM. Hey thanks a ton! I've heard some bad things about ASRock motherboards though. I'm not concerned with a whole bunch of fancy-ass heatsink features I don't need, but will that board last me a while?

They are a breakoff from ASUS that originated to compete with dirt cheap OEM manufacturers like Foxconn, but are in the consumer market full force now. I have one, and it's been excellent.
Excellent, B85 it is then! Thank you so much.
