• How in the actual fuck do you remove sticker residue

Someone's brilliant idea in manufacturing was to put those promotional stickers on my new monitor's borders with the stickiest, slimiest adhesive known to man, which all stuck to the mirror sheen plastic when I peeled it off. Rubbing alcohol didn't work, and I'm hesitant to use nail polish remover because I don't know if that's okay to use on this kind of plastic
dishsoap is a good next step, followed by goo gone (test it on the back of the monitor in a small spot first)
alternatively, return the monitor and leave a negative review or in any case take pics first to put on a review so others can avoid it
Since the bezel is made out of plastic: 1.) Put some vegetable oil on the area, let it soak in the adhesive for a hour or two. Be sure that it doesn't stain your bezel first, apply a test point somewhere. 2.) Use a blow-dryer on warm settings to make the adhesive soften. Make sure it's not hot. 3.) Wipe it off. Worked on me when I used to have a shitty Samsung monitor that was just plastered in stickers.
I remember someone telling me to somehow use hot steam to get it wet, but that was for like stickers that were on plastic boxes with no electronics.
I use 3 in 1 oil to get rid of adhesive. it usually just wipes right off
* spray a rag with WD-40 and wipe. * Clean the WD-40 off with rubbing alcohol and a clean soft rag (paper towels can be used as well, but don't use them on screens unless you want scratches) For extreme buildups, use a razor blade to gently scrape the majority of residue off.

We had a VCR sitting on top of a DVD player for a good 8 years and when I took the VCR off the other week, there was what looked like the feet of the VCR melted all over the top of the DVD player. It was really thick and wouldn't come off. Goo goned that shit and it came off like it was nothing.
I swear this shit is fucking annoying. Most of the time I don't give a shit if its on some not so prominent location. And then you pull it too hard and it stays
Maybe try brake cleaner. We use it at work all the time to remove sticker residues and other dirt and it can do absolute wonders. Slight chance it will work with this stuff too if you're lucky. And no, it's not anything aggressive as far as I can tell.
Got that shit stuck inside of my wallet because somehow they decided that was a great location for the barcode fucken irritating

Warm urine works best. The mellow stuff is best

We've used it on sorts of metals and also plastic sometime and I never noticed any sort of damage after using it. Note that I was introduced to the existence of brake cleaner at my workplace only. I don't even know if different type exist with different ingredients and so on.
Coarse sandpaper should do the trick, if that doesn't work try scratching it off with razor blades or taking a lighter to it.
Isopropyl Alcohol works good, higher % the better.
I feel your pain My monitor had lots of stickers and all of them was easy to remove except for that one fucking nvidia sticker, the glue is still present 4 years after

It has a good shot at completely destroying a monitor screen though.

I used it to take off sticker residue from a automotive decal my dealership put on. Get a small 8 oz bottle and a small micro-fiber cloth and you can take it off easily. I used it on my car and it did no damage. [QUOTE=Merijnwitje;52047547]Maybe try brake cleaner. We use it at work all the time to remove sticker residues and other dirt and it can do absolute wonders. Break cleaner breaks down plastics, you don't want this on your screen or even close to your screen. It would also

Dynamite should be able to do it, but you might not like the overall result :v:
