Hey guys, if any of you need help removing viruses/spyware/trojans/worms/rootkits, or any other type of malicious software, I would be more than happy to help you do so through this thread. Also, feel free to ask any technical question you desire. Im sure one of the remarkably awesome members of face punch will reply with A class informationa and support.
First, find out what you want to remove.
If it's something pretty hardcore, chances are there's specific tools for it.
If it's less hardcore, Malwarebytes / Spybot S&D / COMODO will remove it.
Always have live protection, but never use norton. Avast, MSE, and COMODO are good examples of good live protection. Another good thing to keep around is a Linux LiveCD that has a file scanner, such as Dr. Web's, if the virus is so hardcore it locks down everything. If you're doing a full scan, do it with Malware Byte's Anti Malware, as it one of the best antivirus software on the Internet.
