A friend of mine has a dance exam coming up, and they really need an instrumental version of a song they'd like to use. I've searched everywhere but can't find one? The song is Cocorosie - Japan.
Here's the actual song;

and here's an instrumental version used in an advert;

I realise they probably edited the music themselves for the advert, but I was wondering if there's software I could use to help remove the vocals somehow?
Audiocity, or in virtual dj program, just lower the medium sound option and increase low and high sound options.
How would I go about that in say, Audacity?
Check tutorial in youtube, it's 2 minutes job really.
I've tried most of them, they all just tell you to Split the tracks, invert them and then change them both to mono. However, it really fucks with the instrumental. Like my end result is something satanic
Then i can't help you, sorry.
You must learn to play every instrument in the song, then record a cover

But don't EVER publish it.
You can't get it direct on the mp3 file, but search google and you may find the master tracks and you can mix them together.
