All very good points, hoping the game lives up to these. Could be a very strong return to form for the series
i really liked the combat in 1-3. it was clunky but masterable. it required finesse and timing
I hate Daryl Dixon as a character, I really want to play this game but don't want to be reminded how much I hate The Walking Dead every time I play it, so that point is really important for me
I beat Silent Hill 2 last night on PC. I used a gamepad but the bindings were kinda messed up, so to attack I had to hold the hold start and press A to swing. Was pretty much holding the controller with a claw grip the entire time. Made everything super tense :v:

I wish I could play these games. I'm too much of a pussy for it. Only played 2 minutes of a demo of 2. I was in a dark cafeteria, walked around a bit, getting creeped out over the complete utter silence, and then just turned off the PS1. Nothing happened, because I made sure nothing would happen :tinfoil:
Silent Hill games need to stop copying Silent Hill 2.
I'm pretty sure Kojima said somewhere that Reedus wasn't going to be played like some kind of bad ass survivalist or anything like that.
I hope it comes to PC.
I just don't want the entire game to be in first person and not rely on the afore mentioned jump scares then I'll be happy
I finished 2 recently and im going through 3 at the moment. I'm loving how the games are scary because of a well designed atmosphere and setting not just boo monster around the corner. Jump scares are cheap and shit.
Maybe it's just me, but I really hope it doesn't have puzzles like that fucking ridiculous end puzzle for P.T. When I solve a puzzle, I want a feeling of "Awesome, I got through", not "Are you fucking serious?"

It was supposed to be a big community event, taking weeks to complete, with the payoff being the Silent Hills reveal. Unfortunately it was beaten within the hour, but that doesn't take away what it was supposed to be in the first place.
In fact, the P.T. demo didn't feature any combat at all, which falls in line with recent survival horror games like Outlast. So, it's quite possible that Silent Hills could follow suit and go weaponless.
please do not do this kojima
I think it's fairly obvious that PT wasn't meant to be solved alone.
