I still think that the best course of action would be for Gearbox to sell the IP rights to Croteam. Duke Nukem is useless to the former, and at the very least, a rebooted Duke would team up with Serious Sam in SS4.
-snip, why reply-
Croteam
It'd be better off with Flying Wild Hog or even People Can Fly.
Didn't bulletstorm get a steamworks patch?
Didn't bulletstorm get a steamworks patch?
Nope, devs abandoned it at launch. It's the reason why I'll never give them money again

People say that a Duke game couldn't work today alot but honestly they just need the right developer who knows what Duke Nukem is supposed to be.

In DN3D from what i remember he came across as more of a stereotypical action movie hero but purposefully a bit more over the top - spouting one-liners and having an overly manly action-oriented personality. It seemed like that's the sort of thing it was meant to be parodying with how he was portrayed. In Forever and this though, he comes across as more of a parody of himself - saying random 'funny' things all the time, going on about himself and generally just being all over the place regarding how he acts. It's like he's gone from a fairly obvious parody of action movie cliches, to a non-sensical pathetic character who just thinks he's the greatest because he says he is while parodying/trying to make fun of everything is entire 'personality' now.
Yes, it’s puerile and childish, but that’s sort of the point

Humour is subjective, of course. I’m predisposed to not finding Duke funny because I think he’s a witless cretin with all the charisma of decomposing ham.
[img_thumb]http://i2.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/newsfeed/000/582/861/e26.jpg[/img_thumb] Memes and jokes aside, this is the reason why I stopped reading a lot of PCGamer articles. There's a lot of just dumb, sensationalist, personal story/opinion items as opposed to any real reporting of games or events that are relevant to the time. Additionally I don't know why they're bothering to write a smear article now, for an accessory DLC for a game that out on April 7th.

Duke Nukem Forever's poor writing and lack of care turned him into a much more bastardized version of the character than he was in DN3D.
