• ATX12V Problem

Well just today I tried turning on my PC but it would only turn on for 2seconds. So I went in and disconnected one cable at a time and the problem was the ATX12V right next to the CPU. Everything is on and working fine without it but I can't see crap on my screen. And ideas on what I can do?
Your computer won't boot without processor getting power and that ATX12V is the processor power.
It turns on with it disconnected, but when i connect it it is only on for a second then it turns off. And if i try to connect t while everything is on, the computer turns off.
Great news my pc is dead :( time to wait 2-3years to get a new one.

So it's not even passing POST
Ok so I looked up my dads MoBo to see if I can try my CPU on his. It was a match so I took out his and put my CPU in his MoBo. It was working fine until it got to the "Start Windows Normally" options screen and the countdown starting to go down, so I waited then the PC turned off. Tried it again same thing. So I tried my dads CPU in my MoBo, I found out my MoBo it truly dead. What I found out though was that when I went to take out my CPU from my dads MoBo it was burning hot, which I found odd because when I went to get my dads CPU initially it wasnt that hot and his was on for about 30minutes when I only tried my CPU for 20seconds.
