Sad to see 2GD go, was the only reason I watched the panel segments for this major to begin with, so guess I'll just stick to checking out the games in-game instead. That way I don't have to worry about the stream quality either.
I would be so sad if Gaben called me an ass on reddit for everyone to see.
he must have done something horrible to be called an ass by gabe on reddit :v:
Gabe is the one being ass here, considering they still employ Richard Lewis (a guy who literally chocked one of the esports team member behind the scene) as well as Thorin who is an even bigger ass than 2GD. Not gonna talk about how he was the only reason the panel lived. He basically saved the stream while the god-awful production team was delaying the game (thank god they are gone now)
he must have done something horrible to be called an ass by gabe on reddit :v:
When he says "I masturbated to disabled porn to prepare for this tournament" live on a stream, and then when his producer tells him to take a break because he's being an ass and he ignores him, it's pretty justified. Valve are trying to present esports as a professional event like a normal sport, they don't need comments like that confirming the idea that all gamers are 12 year old mouthbreathing idiots. Especially when you ignore your producer. Rule number one of live production, you do not ignore your producer.

We don't know much about it so don't make such accusations, unless you do know in which case I'd like to know too.

As funny as it was, it was incredibly unprofessional for a major event
Bear in mind that this is the same man that hosted and casted at The International twice, and he didn't tone down on his - at times controversial - humour when he was there. The thing is, he may be crass and prone to making jokes on other peoples behalves, which can be seen as unprofessional. But the way he does the whole thing makes it abundantly clear that they're jokes. I can understand that his type of humour is not suited to some people, but the way the same people try to make him out to be a horrible person because of it is just plain strange.
