phone service is the biggest ripoff ever, right next to store-bought HDMI cables global wifi will put a stop to this madness... but when?
Won't you need a new phone to use different 4G spectrums?
I'm currently missing the new BBC HD channels on Freeview in my area, was hoping they would give more spectrum to Digital TV not less. 4G feels like such a waste to me IMO, UHF TV signals can serve an area of around 20-30 miles whereas 4G can only benefit a place the size of a town.
Yeah, in 6 years
I'm rather uninformed on this, how does phone hardware prevent you from using 4G?
I'm rather uninformed on this, how does phone hardware prevent you from using 4G?
Antennas only work at the frequencies they're made for, and there's no reason for manufacturers to spend extra money supporting uncommon/unused frequencies. That's why most phones have different antennas in different parts of the world, and why today's antennas won't support new frequencies only used in 6-8 years.
