So, I am planning on replacing these 3 parts in my computer, and reusing the rest of my system. My budget is small, £180 but at a stretch, a absolute maximum of £200, and I would prefer the parts all from ebuyer.com This is what I have come up with, but I don't have the greatest idea of what works well together. Anyone? Am planning on purchasing parts tomorrow so feedback would be greatly appreciated.
If you on such a strict budget, you will want the Phenom II x4 955*, the 965 isn't worth the extra money. Also, you don't need 8GB or RAM if you are gaming, 4GB will be fine, not much to say on mobo if you are on a small budget.
I don't mind maxing out that budget, which is why I chose those (the CPU you suggested is only £3 cheaper on ebuyer right now). And I am going to be doing rendering and such as well as games, which is why I put in the 8 GB RAM, seems RAM is so cheap right now that it's very little extra to get the 8 GB instead of the 4.
