Adding srt. subtitles to MP4 file

I'm trying to play an MP4 file on my ps3 with english subtitles. I have the srt. and MP4 file, but I just can't get the subtitles to work.
I tried YAMB, it just corrupted the file somehow. Also I read that PS3 wont be able to play that kind of subtitles anyway. Is there a way?

Stream it using PS3 Media Server, Put the srt in the same folder as the MP4 AND make the srt the same name as the movie, Then it will work.
