HNNNNGGN TAKE ALL MY MONEY NOW!
All my money! I give you full custody over my body, CA!
[editline]2nd July 2012[/editline]
Artstyle looks fitting. Much better than Shogun 2's papery thingamajig. Which wasn't bad itself.
I used to play the Rome Total War demo over and over again because I couldn't afford the game :v:
I'm glad they finally realized that the fans wanted a new Rome. I'd personally prefer something completely new (Three Kingdoms, anyone?) but Rome is an acceptable alternative..
Yes. Yes! YES! God YES!
Oh god, how am I going to be able to invade such a huge city?
Christ.
Instant buy Collector's Edition and all the DLC possible.
I spent YEARS of my life on Rome: Total War
In practice Creative Assembly already owns my money now
Gonna be the first game I pre-order as soon as it lets me.
Rome was the best Total War of any in the series, with the possible exception of the Third Age: Total War mod for Medieval 2. Rome had the coolest history behind it, the most diverse gameplay experience, and the widest variety of unique unit types. Plus, it was just friggen cool.
Also, war dogs and flaming pigs.
They'd better freaking add back flaming pigs and war dogs.
Instant buy.
It'll be cool to actually see your men's moral deteriorate or improve in their faces/actions
IE general riding past the lines calling for his men to hold fast
well drilled but fresh regiment has its captain calling for the men to remember their training
your favorite veteran regiment barely batting an eye at the soldiers dying around them
this is going to be amazing
Oh YEEESSSS!!! I can't wait for more testudo parties!
As long as they won't limit building structures in cities/forts like they did in Emipre/Napoleon/Shogun 2.

Seriously, the testudo unit was the only one I used back in Rome: Total War. :v:
god damn it when are we getting total war: vikings
god damn it when are we getting total war: vikings
... with a focus on naval battles, obviously.
I am literally throwing paper bins filled with money at my computer monitor

I love Third Age so much. It's crazy when a mod makes me fear for my life as a good faction when Gondor loses Minas Tirith.

You mean playing as Denmark in Medieval 2.

Only thing I didn't like about it was that the computer just straight up blatantly cheated throughout the entire campaign. It totally throws a wrench in your strategy when random full stack armies just spawn right in the middle of your territories! If they had just maybe not included that "feature," it would have been pretty rockin'.

I like that they're giving a personality to your legions, hopign for a slightly RPG aspect towards them.
Also, its not Regiments, its (from lowest kinds of unit to highest int he roman Legion)
Contubernium < Centuria < Maniple < Cohort.
If RTW is anything to go by, your armies will range from the Centuria level upwards, most you could have in the old RTW was 20 Centuries/10 Maniples/2 and a Half Cohorts, but hopefully they have Shogun 2's one where you can have tons of units, that you finally might be able to build and control a full legion.

Is there fucking anything you don't know?

What can I say, Rome total war actually inspired me to learn all this shit about the Imperial Roman Legions.

Actually. We're made to look more like gay Britons in that game. The Saxons in Rome are closer. But they still don't eat shrooms before taking a double edged axe to a one vs 20 fight...
There's this one guy in Britain, who held a bridge against an army of saxons, just with his axe and some drugs. Shit was cash... Until someone anally speared him from below the bridge... That was so gay.
