Hello guys. Need some help, need a $300 office work build. Looking for a dual, (if possible cheap quad core), with 4GB Ram and a 19" monitor and if it's not pushing too hard an SSD drive. The builds will save majority of the files to a local server. I already have OS/Keyboards. If anyone can help me, I'll post what I have so far greatly appreciate it. Open to suggestions too. Thanks
Uh, what all components do you already have because your budget is minuscule if you think you're getting an SSD and a monitor. You might be able to fit a very cheap monitor into the build, but an SSD that's worth while steals a pretty crucial amount of your budget.
I'd suggest looking locally second hand, no way you're going to get a new rig for $300. You might even be able to buy a second hand already built computer for around that price that isn't too bad.
SSD, quad-core processor and monitor on a $300 budget Pick one of the three. and it's still not likely. Save your money.

I managed to get couple of used monitors. This is what I have so far.

If you think you can do what you need to with that small amount of disk space then go for it. But remember that the AMD FX series really isn't what it says it is (the FX-4100 isn't a quad core processor, it's a dual core.)
Do your self a favor and don't get that board. It has issues with ram. Well mine does and some others too.
What about using Sally's build? Just swapping the hdd and removing the monitor. Also, should I stick with the quadies or downgrade? Since it will mostly be for quickbooks/office/browser.
Do your self a favor and don't get that board. It has issues with ram. I have it
Here's what I did because I'm terrible at saving. I bought the parts when I had the money for each individual one. Then let it sit in a pile until I got it all.

By the time you've gotten everything you'd probably be outdated and first components you got would likely be cheaper by then.

If you are that bad at saving (to the point where you can't bring yourself to pretend like you've bought the part and you can't spend the money), you really ought to work through those problems before buying anything.
