I just watched it, and I have to say that was really well done.
That was pretty cool.
that was great
Ease up gingerbread.
I liked it. Can't wait for the next episode.
holy shit, that was actually pretty good
I liked it a lot. I don't like the games though, so damn boring.
Books are good to, except the Flood, that booked was terrible
That was really good.
Although, I can really see the Starship Trooper references up the wazzoo.
I didn't see it as much before but now I really do.
These are nice but I am still scared that halo 4 will be COD with lasers. Using Dub step in their trailers is a bad sign.
When this was first announced with that teen-drama filled trailer, I was extremely pessimistic. While this still has some of that, I'm glad to say I was wrong. The first moments with Cortana repeating the distress call sent chills up my spine.
Looking forward to the next part.
I liked that a lot.
Meh reminds me too much of Video Game Highschool..

because dubstep in games automatically makes it shit.

Yes, customization, loadouts, grenade indicators, and mountain dew double xp, and Dubstep makes Halo 4 COD with lasers.
I have to say, Halo's live action shorts are usually pretty top-notch.

It shows that they want the COD audience. Especially since they have always used halo music in their trailers. Dubstep should have nothing to do with halo. The fact that they put it in shows that they don't really know what they are doing or don't care.

Dubstep and general electronica is getting mixed up too lately, and besides as long as the dubstep isn't "oh god my ears are bleeding" then nobody should care.
COD wasn't the first to use dubstep, in fact I don't remember dubstep being in cod till MW3 or BO2 but still who gives a shit
[editline]9th October 2012[/editline]
Also would you prefer halo to use the same formula all the time or have a company mix it up a bit, loadouts and all that stuff have existed for a long time
even tf2 uses a load out system for god sake
Yes, customization, loadouts, grenade indicators, and mountain dew double xp, and Dubstep makes Halo 4 COD with lasers.
The way you listed that really didn't help the argument there...

It's actually kind of insulting when people attribute loadouts to COD.
Any love for Planetside? Hello?
well you know, anything these days that are an fps can't have any elements seen in cod or else its automatically shit
Which is stupid because these changes are a breath of fresh air for the formula

Whenever someone says that a game is copying CoD than someone goes "oh well this game had the before CoD" it doesn't really make that much sense. Which has sold more? CoD or whatever game and what is the new cool thing to play now? Call of Duty. So of course someone would take something from that game to appeal to it's audience.

But it still goes against what halo had done. There is a difference between changing your game and trying to get Call od duty. Having dubstep in your trailer is obviously the 2nd. Its insulting to the franchise.
Dude, the whole point about halo 4 is trying new things
Dude, the whole point about halo 4 is trying new things
There is a difference between taking a risk and changing your formula and putting trendy music into your video because thats what modern gamers like. Its just bad and doesn't fit the setting or theme of halo. If they wanted to completely change the theme or tone of the game then they should have just created a new franchise all together.
but it adds excitement and dramatic value
OH NO! MULTIPLAYER WEAPON ADS HAVE MUSIC THAT WON'T EXIST IN THE GAME! SERIES RUIN AND TURNED INTO COD!

Dubstep adds drama?

So let me get this straight. All those things I listed, which CoD never created in to being with, or was the first to use, ect. Overrides all that 343 Industries has done right, and makes this game CoD and ruins the series? Customization has always existed in Halo, Loadouts have been in halo since Halo 2 as a game edit trait in local games, also in Halo Reach as a online MP feature. Grenade Indicators simply make sense from a lore and gameplay standpoint, you're a Spartan with a state of the art sensor system built into your suit, it should easily be able to alter you of incoming dangers. Mountain Dew gamefuel's marketing started with Halo 3, and it was not the first time mountain dew offered some sort of in game reward for, and it wasn't even the first. And Dubstep, is simply dubstep. It's fucking marketing to attract new players to the game. Have you even heard the Halo 4 Soundtrack!? The music is up to par with the rest of Halo's best. Your logic is terrible.
The game still looks, plays, feels and IS Halo. This is coming from a person who has been a Halo fan since the Macworld '99 Halo CE announcement trailer, and who has hands on experience with the game, and not judging it because it has dubstep and some features that exist in other video games.

Nothing in that footage was remotely looks, feels, or plays CoD, besides the fact they are both FPS's.

It doesn't matter if COD was the first to do it. I don't want halo to be changed into it. It doesn't necessarily make the game a cod clone but it shows that they are interested in making a game for them which is a bad sign. All you could customize in the first 3 games were character color and putting in weapon load outs completely changes the way the multiplayer works. Instead of starting out with the same set and fighting to get better weapons many weapons must now be balanced and if marketing is trying to sell the game to cod kiddies then the game itself would as well. Thats how marketing is supposed to work. If they want to make a different game than halo then they shouldn't still hold on to the halo title. Its the same thing resident evil games have been doing.

Have you even invested time into watching the media of this game besides the weapon trailers that feature a music genre you don't like, which is apparently to attract "Cod kiddies". If you did you would realize that everything you are worried about is non existent. If anything you're bitching about was true, i'd be right there with you protesting.
