Not pictured: Earbuds, portable phone charger if I'm going somewhere where my wall charger isn't a good option, various cards and odds and ins I pick up from around work, one, two or all sets of keys from work, my beanie that I occasionally put in my pocket and a few other small things. Phone case is to an S5, 3DS has Smash in it and yes, I realize my lanyard is mainly baubles instead of keys. I mainly keep it around to keep my hands occupied, which is why the end is so frayed. Also pardon my bedding, only relatively clear surface I had.

Three including the small one on my lanyard. I dunno, my dad always taught me to always carry one because I'll always need it for something and he hasn't been wrong yet, all three of them help my job in different ways on a pretty regular basis and as a family with little money growing up, our motto was basically "duct tape and pocket knives can fix anything." I guess it's a little bonkers to carry three but hey, we all have our own quirks I suppose.
Why does everyone carry so much shit, I literally carry minimal stuff, Cigarettes, Hip Flask, Phone, Wallet, Keys.
I don't need phone chargers or headphones or shit, or my 3DS, or my MLP figurines or my 3ft tall Hatsune Miku figure.
Basic shit I never leave home without: My phone, wallet, keys, swizz knife, cigarettes and lighter
I usually always carry a backpack with even more stuff in, things like a tiny first aid kit, duct tape, a few snickers 4-packs and at least 1L of water or other drink. Next time I am going shopping at mil. surplus I am going to buy one of those army rucksacks, my brother always carries around his from his time deployed in Afghanistan. It is going to include your usual go bag items, a gas mask(gonna get a permit for that though, and not some mil. surplus POS, there is a reason why they sell them at mil. surplus, they are only good for making you look edgy) filters for every kind of disaster, an air pellet rifle(the kind that uses a pump not the CO2 canister ones, cheaper in the length) for hunting small game, a few cases of pellets for it the list goes on.
I have paranoia that pretty much can't be controlled without use of debilitating sedatives and psychotropics, it's mainly about disasters, war, medical emergencies revolving me or whoever I am together with, getting stuck/lost somewhere, etc. So instead of making me incapable of doing anything at all, being a traffic hazard and an easy target for robbery; I am just going to make sure there is nothing I can be paranoia about! See?

Because most of the time when I leave the house, I'm going to work. We get provided blades but they're pretty shit so they let us bring our own.
If it's just grabbing some groceries or visiting a friend's I wouldn't bring the sunnies, watch or multi-tool.

Because knives are probably the most useful tool you can have. You can use them for almost anything. Naturally self defense is a good factor but I can tell you I've never had to use it like that, it's just really handy to be able to cut boxes, open packaging, cut fabric, zipties and clothing if you have too.

I do that too, but sometimes I use my flashlight to look at shit I don't want my phone around. Like the underside of my truck where I'm likely to drop that shit on the asphalt or drip oil/road salt all over it.
