A decent laptop for under £400?

That's right, Anyone know a place such as PC World or Dixons that I could pick up a laptop with a decent graphics card. (This means [b]no[/b] Intel integrated.) Decent spec like a Core 2 Duo and over 2GB of RAM?

400-600 is reasonable, just don't expect a powerhouse. Also if you do get a media lappy they do tend to overheat easily.

this makes me sad, my dad bought me a laptop for £400 2 years ago and its 512mb ram, 60gb hd and 1.6ghz celeron :'(

This laptop I'm on now cost 300 pound or so and it's 1.66GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 1GB RAM maxed out to 4GB RAM by me, Intel GMA 950 (poor, poor), 15''.

God damn. I bought a laptop about four years ago with shitty Intel GMA graphics (945GU, I think), 3 Gb RAM, 18" Superbright LCD, a 2.2 GHz C2D, DVD drive, and 120 Gb HDD. Cost me 1600 USD (like 975 pounds now, I don't know what the exchange rate was then).

I wish laptops were this cheap back then.

18 inch is awesome, Graphics card.. Not so awesome. I got TF2 working on an Intel GMA 950 by installing the modded drivers and using GameBooster. It also runs stock CSS maps fine. Can anyone tell me what's playable and not playable with the 9300M GS?
