I actually really liked this game back in the day and though it was quite neat. That said, I don't think this game really needs a remaster of sorts. It is not a cult classic at all.
Cult Classic is a very vague term. All I know is that this was an excellent high quality game that did not sell tons but had quite a few people that seemed to enjoy it, including me. To me, that is enough to warrant calling it a "Cult Classic". But frankly? That is all fluff. We could even get into schematics like how the series as a whole is more well known in the UK, where it actually originates from.
You make a remaster because either there is a market demand, you think you can make demand, or your team is just bonkers and really wants it to happen. Considering Rebellion publishes the comics and the games? I think its clear they have both as a desire.

That's what I was thinking. I figured they were testing the waters to see if anyone would actually want a sequel.
I honestly like Rogue more than Dredd (Although the original comic run ended up going a bit off the rails after the original traitor general arc) and I really liked the game when it came out, but it's a bit of a weird game to do a HD re-release of.
