• BSOD on XPS M140- "The image ole32.dll is possibly corrupt..."+ Password Lock issue

So my aunt sent me here M140 Laptop, it has a BSOD with this error. "The image ole32.dll is possibly corrupt. The header checksum does not match the computed checksum" I cannot get into XP by safe mode either. So I got the install disk and was going to repair it but my aunt has a password for her os, But it's blank. By this I mean she put in nothing for her password, so when I'm trying to repair this I need a password to repair it, but when I press space or enter in locks me out. I have no idea what to do, she wants me to keep the files on her HD, she has family and work shit on it. Any advice? Could I take a Laptop HD and place it in my Desktop's HD bay, and grab the files on it? Unrelated note: Now I have two broken M140's sitting around. I'm using one to make my screen higher! But can anyone else figure out what I can do to save the os
well if you cant get in you will just have to format if you can get in then apparently all you need to do is update messenger [editline]13th June 2011[/editline] im not completely sure as microsoft labels ole32.dll as a messenger dll while other sites say its a system critical file with other shit. I have no fucking clue
You can try this to change/remove the password on the machine: http://pogostick.net/~pnh/ntpasswd/ It works in most cases.
