Hi everyone,
So i have a gtx 650 ti from asus that i am currently using and i'm upgrading to a gtx 970 probably by asus at the end of the month, and i was wondering, seeing as my motherboard has 2 pci x16 lanes, if i could use them both at the same time? the gtx 650 ti is not SLI compatible however i've seen people use a seperate graphics card for things like physX on its own. is this feature only available for SLI cards and do they have to be the same?
thanks
edit: i know it is a dumb ass question but still
A dedicated PhysX card hasn't been a necessary endeavor for years. You're better off selling the 650 Ti.
The list of games that support a separate PPU is a very short one, better off selling it.
cheers guys!
Metro 2033/last light supports it. Other than that indeed a very short list.
Yeah so do some of the Arkham games iirc
