I can run crysis on the highest settings with 8x anti-aliasing and get about 100fps most of the time, so i think i'm set for a long time.
For some reason though some games dont have their audio all the time, for instance i was playing splinter cell conviction and the voices were present the entire time, except during cutscenes where i would get no voice sound at all but i would still hear music and walking. Any idea how to fix this? Something to do with the sound card perhaps?
you also need os.
Do you have FFDShow running by any chance? You may want to set up a white/black list.

I'm not entirely sure what that is, care to explain?
And it's windows 7.
This happens to me quite often, it might be the settings on the game or your speakers that are wrong i atleast have to set the effect on my z-5500 to 6 channel direct when playing games with surround audio.

My speakers are built into my monitor, so i don't see much going wrong there. I've tried tweaking the settings as well.
Nothing wrong there? Please at least invest $50 into a good pair of speakers, or headphones.

I have a pair of sennheiser HD's
Well, the problem is most likely having your audio out set up for 5.1, and only have a stereo system. Voices generally come out of the front speakers.
