ok...so i finished building my computer for a school project, but im having difficulties turning it on
so what happens is that when i press the power button, it makes a clicking noise (idk if thats normal), turns on (including all the lights and fans), then after like 1-2 seconds it clicks again and turns off, and repeats over and over again. i dont kno for sure what the problem is, but i think it may have sumthin to do with the power supply? ive gotten some really helpful advice from here before so im confident ill get some help. what can be the possible cause and how can i fix it?
thanx in advance
p.s. let me know if you want the list of parts im using and ill post em up : )
Did you use standoffs?

Yes, pictures inside would be nice too
One time when i just stuck my new pc parts together just to check they were working ( i cable managed after) one of the cables was stopping the cpu fan from spinning and that made it so it would turn on and turn off...
Might be a problem.
I had a similar problem, and in my case it was bad RAM. It would power up, no POST screen, and then power down, restart, repeat.
Did you use a 20+4 pin PSU and forgot to plug the +4 pin in?
Make sure you have put all the standoffs you need in, I had a problem like this. Or it might be a bad CPU?
Most likely issues:
No standoffs
Forgot a power connector somewhere
Faulty RAM
I'd troubleshoot in that order.
No reply :raise:
Obviously his power supply exploded and he was killed by the shrapnel

Or he got hacked up by the cpu fan.

Did it not come with installation insurance?
Not if you forgot to put in the standoffs, no.

ROFL, i hope your joking?....When i built my first rig, I watch videos for over a month on learning on how to build it. I always kept finding something new to learn about
Specs?
PSU make and model?
Are you absolutely sure everything is plugged in properly?
you fried everything with the power of static electricity. should have built it in your underwear, i did that, it owned.

Actually when you order shit from SCAN it automatically applies "installation Insurance" and it DOES cover you for fuck ups.
