• Are there any good rally/racing games?

Since Burnout Paradise, I've been dying from racing games starvation. I really didn't see any decent racing title, besides DiRT. Is DiRT any good? Also are there other racing games that I probably missed? Sadly I do not own any next-gen console, my PS2 is unusable but I can still use my PSX.
FlatOut 1 or 2 or something. You wreck other cars and try to win the races.
i loved Track Mania years ago, is fully customizable and pretty funny
FlatOut 1 or 2 or somethin
Played the shit out of Flatout, including modded Flatout 2. Didn't touch Flatout UC because as far as I know it's only a graphical overhaul. I played a lot of Flatout along Crashday
NFS: The Run? NFS: Shift 2? DiRt 2 or 3? NFS: Hot Pursuit? Forza 4? GT5?
NFS: The Run? NFS: Shift 2? DiRt 2 or 3? NFS: Hot Pursuit? Forza 4? GT5?
Got no consoles sadly. I think I'll check out DiRT tho, I asked some guys on my friend list and they say that it's decent

It uses Frostbite 2, as long as you have a good PC this thing is a blast. Really long campaign if you're into that. I've been at this thing for hours.
Burnout Paradise, not exactly rally but a very gigantic fun laden monster.

Dirt 3 is an amazing game, specially gymkhana. I don't know about NFS, because after Carbon I basically quit the series. Still played Undercover though, in hopes of something good. Another game I enjoyed was Test Drive Unlimited 2. Its a racing game/social game or something, go check that one out
Driver San Francisco and NFS Hot Pursuit 2010

Also, same thing applies for me in regard of NFS. The last one I played was Carbon, but the truly superior one will always be Underground 2. :v: I'm probably going to check out DiRT 3. Getting positive feedback about it.
Driver San Francisco and NFS Hot Pursuit 2010
To be honest all I heard about Hot Pursuit was bad stuff. Plus, I lost faith in Criterion after the Burnout Paradise PC fiasco Didn't really follow Driver San Francisco, but I used to play a lot of Driver 1 - Driver 2 on my PSX. Plus that car switching feature seems interesting. Wow, I must be blind to let all those games pass unnoticed. Thank you all! Keep the suggestions coming!
Tbh I don't think theres much activity online in TDU2. I bought it this summer (steam sales) and when I first started playing it, I didn't see many people online. Some on the casino DLC that I bought, but you couldn't see that many players online. And I never got to do an actual multiplayer race. Still, its a cool game if you're interested in cars and want to just drive around sightseeing, or do some races etc.

Well, I guess right now my priority (as suggested by this thread) should be to check out DiRT.
Race 07 Sega Rally [editline]20th November 2011[/editline] Also, try Driver SF [editline]20th November 2011[/editline] In case if you have a PS3, go look for Motorstorm and WipEout.
Rage Racer for the PSX. It's damn awesome but very rare...
Also, if you are interested in NFS, play the classics. New ones are shit.
DiRT series if you want arcade racing, but if you want pure hardcore simulation, go Richard Burns Rally. It's an old game and the graphics are dated, but it still has the best physics of any racing sim I've played, and has a huge and still lively modding community :)
DiRT 1 is horribly optimised and borderline unplayable. DiRT 2 is very well opimised but can get really repetative Grid has a wide variation of tracks and events but lacks much else ToCA race driver 3 pretty much works on any modern computer, many many tracks and events, long campaign mode.
Forza Motorsport 4 has really good graphics. Played a demo at best buy, and it seemed pretty good.

Race Driver: GRID, it's pretty awesome.
My personal favorite is MX vs ATV: Reflex It runs fine for me but others say it's not well optimized though
DiRT 3 wasn't bad, but it just wasn't for me. I'm not into games like that at all really. But I can see why it had good ratings and reviews, I'd suggest you try it.

Dirt 3 is great if you like rally and gymkhana. I'm not into the NFS series but people say Shift is good.
Need for Speed: Underground 2.
