Buy this game, you p-p-p-pathetic creatures of meat and bones.
this is a good game, just played through it a couple weeks ago. the gunplay isn't good but the atmosphere is top notch
Truly a classic, one of the three genre-defining first-person adventures than influenced a generation.
What's really cool is that the steam release gives you bonus content in the main folder, like the entire sountrack(which is fuckin' awesome)
What's really cool is that the steam release gives you bonus content in the main folder, like the entire sountrack(which is fuckin' awesome)
Wait, which of the folders is the soundtrack in? Can't seem to find it in steamapps/common/SS2.
The folder is named Bonus Content. If it doesn't appear try and download the the files again, it should appear.
And it'll appear in steamapps/common/SS2, right?
It should appear, that's what i did with mine. IIRC, the bonus content wasn't there at launch, so it was probably added in some update a few months ago.
It's surprising how scary this game still is, after all this time
What's really cool is that the steam release gives you bonus content in the main folder, like the entire sountrack(which is fuckin' awesome)
You get that with the GOG version, too. On Steam it was added with the Linux update.
Though it seems that neither version has that unexpected patch, which sucks, because it added plenty of cool stuff.
It's an excellent game, but for those who care about the price, 5€ on Steam is too much for a 15-years old game. I'd suggest you wait until it goes at -75%.
Also, remember to get the SS2Tool (https://www.systemshock.org/index.php?topic=4141.0) and install the game outside of Program Files folder to avoid some problems
as soon as you play coop with a friend, face each other and lean left and right
one of my favourite games such great atmosphere, made me realize and appreciate just how important the atmosphere aspect is in games first time playing i did coop with a friend we were sitting in skype afraid before anything major even happened. i went up an elevator in the beginning, my friend beneath waiting for it to return. i fell down the hole and landed right next to my friend and he screamed so loudly due to how much scare-hype we built up the entire playthrough and he shot his grenade launcher out of reflex at the ground killing both of us one of my favourite gaming moments ever tl;dr fucking buy this game right now if you havent played it yet
