Hey I have a very quick and possibly silly question. Soon I will be purchasing Windows 7 and I was wondering if I can use the "upgrade" version to upgrade my Windows Vista (Home premium) 32 bit to Windows 7 (Home Premium) 64 bit. I am already aware that my processor can handle 64 bits and that my data will be lost in the process, if it's possible. The question is can I use the "upgrade" retail package to convert from 32 to 64 bits. Thanks in advance.
Yes, the upgrade comes with both 32 and 64 bit versions.
no, you can only upgrade 32 bit vista to 32 bit win7. but you can install 64 bit through fresh install. but yes, it comes with both versions.
