Is it just me or is this article broke?

nevermind, it's not 404'ing anymore
Okay so the feature that was supposed to launch with it (acting as a controller), promise of newer better titles (something that should have been in mind in the first place), and a free copy of game X for system Y if you own it on system Z (select titles). Sony if you want to save the vita, drop the price...

This, why spend $250 on a vita when you can buy a 3DS for almost $100 less.
Sure the vita is more powerful but all that power goes to waste when you have no good games for it.
You would think Sony learned something from the PS3 launch.
Tbh I think handheld consoles as a whole are kind of fucked now that phones can rival/beat them. They do have the advantage of physical controls though

Android phones can connect to the ps3 controller.

The selection of games is too meager.
Same problem I recall with the original PSP when I picked it up near release.

Yes and No, I really can't play Uncharted or Persona 4 on my phone. sure a phone is great for like 5 minutes of downtime, but for long flights and road-trips a handheld with a long game is the way to go.
might get one after christmas if the price is halfway decent
Well the PS Vita is a really good console, and is well worth its price in my opinion.
It's a pity that it's not selling very well. I hope they manage to make it more successful.

It's not even that. The vita is the same price as a PS3. That's not good marketing by any stretch. It's a handheld, make it 169 like the 3DS is and you can pretty much guarantee it will sell better. Especially since you have to buy memory sticks seperately which are REQUIRED for the system. The sticks are anywhere from $20-60. You could get 2 Vita games for that.

Remember when PS3 had no game? Vita is suffering the same problem. No one wants to buy a new system for games they have at home already.

I can't imagine playing that on a handheld
If a game can be on a console or PC, have it be on that. Most of my gaming time is at home, so the whole portable thing is wasted when it could just be better on home platforms
Im definately buying a PSV at some point.
Had great times with PSP, and PSV is technically PSP but so much better in every aspect
